Hollar is also beginning her 20th season as Head Coach of Lenoir-Rhyne’s nationally-ranked softball team.
Hired prior to the 2000 season, Hollar has compiled a 787-261-2 mark as Bears mentor and is easily the school’s all-time winning coach.
Under Hollar, Lenoir-Rhyne has won 12 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championships (2000, 2004, 2006-08, 2010-12, 2014, 2016-18) and eight SAC Tournament Titles (2000-02, 2007, 2010-13).
The Bears have also earned 13 trips to the NCAA Division II Playoffs (2002, 2006-14, 2016-18) including a pair of trips to the NCAA Division II Southeast Super Regional Tournament in 2010-11.
Hollar has also coached six Bears to All-American honors (Erin Boone, Sarah Kenley, Kat Rivers, Sarah Atkins, Meredith O’Connor and Casey Hanes) and one Academic All-American (Traci Hyman). Hollar has also been named league coach of the year on seven occasions and coached four Lenoir-Rhyne Sports Hall-of-Famers: Traci Davis Hyman, Brandi Mueller, Meredith O’Connor, Taylor Queen Pugh
Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, Hollar coached two years at Newberry (1998-99) while compiling a 45-61 mark and earning a share of the 1999 SAC Regular Season Crown.
Entering 2018, Hollar’s career collegiate record as a head coach is 832-322-2. Hollar was named to the Alexander County Sports Hall Of Fame in 2015 as well.
